Other films and their filming locations in Scotland

How do you fancy standing where Bond and M meet in "Skyfall"? On a Black Kilt Tour I can take you to Glen Etive, the film location  of the new James Bond film.  Or, perhaps you would like to see where Hagrid's hut stood in "Harry Potter" or see the sky where Quidditch was played, you could even take the train to Hogwarts. Add "Set Jetting" to your holiday - you tell me the film I'll take you to the location.

With its dramatic scenery, expansive wilderness, and photogenic cities Scotland is the perfect location for filming. Listed below are the locations of some well known films, some of which may surprise you. This is your chance to visit some of these iconic locations.

Often Scotland is used to stand in for other countries: Glasgow's George Square doubled as Philadelphia in Brad Pitt's zombie film "World War Z." Only weeks later Halley Berry was in town with Glasgow standing in for San Francisco for her new film "Cloud Atlas." The city has also hosted Peter Mullan's film "Neds," the forthcoming "Perfect Sense"with Ewan McGregor and Eva Green, and "The Decoy Bride,"starring David Tennant.

Despite the film "The Descent," being set in the Appalachian Mountains much of it was filmed in Scotland. Glasgow was used for location filming "Fast & Furious 6" between late August and early September 2012.
